God graciously informs us at Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge…”

Note that God did not say, “My people were destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Rather, God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge…”

The knowledge God refers to is knowledge of God and His ways.

And as you may know, a primary New Testament definition of God’s grace (original Greek word “chairo”) is:

“The cheerful, divine influence upon a person’s heart [spirit] and its reflection in the person’s life; including gratitude”
